This Thursday, Nov 5th, we will be hosting our Mock Cheer Competition at Mae Boyar Park, starting at 7pm. Make sure all football players come out and support our ladies as they get ready for their OEC competition this Sunday.

Bowl Games

Our other Jr. MItey Mite and Mitey Mite teams are also playing in bowl games this Saturday, Nov 7th.

Our Mitey Mite Lancers went 8-3 for the season and will face the Long Beach 49ers, another 8-3 team. The game will be played at Garden Grove Park at 3pm. Please make sure to make your way to Garden Grove as they will need your support on the sidelines.

The Jr. Mitey Mite Red Lancers went an impressive 9-1 and will face the Tustin Gold Cobras at Foothill High School, in the city of Tustin. The game starts at 11am and their home fans are sure to be out in full force. Lets make sure to get our there with our Lancer pride and show them a strong support.

Make sure to go support the only Lakewood teams that are still playing this Saturday. It all starts at 11am in Tustin, then make your way to Garden Grove at 3pm to watch the Mitey Mites and finally show up for the Bowl Championship in La Habra at 7pm. Great day of Lancer Football!

Nominations - Please submit your nominations to the league Secretary via email (secretary@lakewoodlancers.org) or in person. Only members in good standing can run for a Board position. All nominations are confidential and will not be shared with any members of the Board or members at large. Our Secretary will have nomination forms with her Tuesday night, she sits with the JPWB team.

Elections will start this Friday (10/16) and continue until next week Thursday (10/22).

It's $20 pre-sale from your team's business manager or $25 at the door. Casino night will be from 9pm - 1am.

Enjoy winning it big at blackjack, roulette, craps and Texas Hold ‘em. Raffles drawing during the night. DJ entertainment will add to the festivities, spinning the best of the 80's along with the today's hits.

Make sure to be part of this great fundraiser and get a chance to meet all of our Lakewood Pop Warner, parents, friends staff and board members off the field.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29th, the Mitey Mite team will be serving Enchiladas with Rice and Beans during practice. Make sure to come out and support the team and have a delicious Mexican plate courtesy of the Mite Mite team. Each plate will only cost $5.

Playoffs for the Jr. Pee Wee division start this Sunday. Unfortunately two of our JPW teams will face each other in the first round of the playoffs, but that guarantees one JPW team will advance to the 2nd round. Please make sure to come out and support all of our JPW teams. First game will be played in Brea at 5:00pm and the other will be played in Anaheim at 7pm.

Come Support the Flag Red team on Tuesday, Sept 8th for their Mexican Food night at Mar Boyar Park. The food night will be held during practice from 6pm - 8pm.

The camp, for boys ages 9-17, will be held on the campus of Long Beach State University. Registration will be held near the track and field complex between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on June 20th and the camp will last until 1:30 p.m. Campers will receive instruction, lunch and a T-shirt. Supplies on the t-shirts are limited, so campers are encouraged to show up EARLY.

All campers are required to have a signed parental release form, absolutely no exceptions!! For more information, contact Yvonne Withers at 562-841-5455.

Per Pop Warner National Rules, every player and cheerleader is required a physical before they are allowed to practice or participate in a game. Please make sure to come on July 18th if you have not received your physical for the upcoming season.

We are now in search for head coach that can volunteer some time and coach in our Pee Wee division. If you or anyone you know may be interested in coaching for Lakewood Pop Warner, please contact our Athletic Director, Carlos Gonzalez at: ad@lakewoodlancers.org.

Our Cheer numbers were great as well, we now have about two full Pee Wee Cheer teams and our Mitey Mite and Jr. Pee Wee squads are getting full quickly.

The camp is headed by Lakewood HS Linebacker Coach Paul Publico. It's held every Saturday and Wednesday at Oak Middle School in Los Alamitos, just off the 605 Fwy on Katella. Below is all the info and link to the official site where one can register:

Only those new to Lakewood Cheer will need to purchase and be fitted for a new uniform. Returning cheer from last season can use the same uniform, unless you require a new one.

These scholars were picked out of 8,100 total entries that qualified and submitted an application. Their hard work paid off, not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. The All-American Award is presented to those in the 5th - 8th grades with a GPA of 96 or higher. They are then selected by the National Pop Warner Scholar committee.

The award winners get invited to a big banquet, hosted by Pop Warner, at the Disney World Resort in Florida. The yearly event features a collection of events to celebrate your achievements, including the Tribute to Scholars and Dinner Banquet. This year, we are excited to announce that NFL Pro-Bowler Bob Sanders and two-time Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer Summer Sanders are the first of several special guests to announce they will be attending the event
