PUBLIC SPEED CAMP 2009
Paul Publico’s PUBLIC SPEED CAMP is great way to help young athletes improve their overall speed, agility and efficiency. The coaching staff emphasizes proper running fundamentals as well as flexibility. Speed, power, agility, explosiveness, balance, core strength and dynamic flexibility need to be taught, and PUBLIC SPEED CAMP’s coaching staff is passionate about helping young athletes reach their goals.The camp is headed by Lakewood HS Linebacker Coach Paul Publico. It's held every Saturday and Wednesday at Oak Middle School in Los Alamitos, just off the 605 Fwy on Katella. Below is all the info and link to the official site where one can register:
Wednesday's: June 24th, July 1st, July 8th, July 22nd, July 29th
Saturday's: June 20, June 27, July 18th, July 25th
Time: 10-12:00 pm on Saturday's 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

LPW FIREWORK BOOTH
Every season Lakewood Pop Warner setups a firework booth to help raise funds for the league. In the past we've always been at the Carl's Jr. Parking lot on the corner of Woodruff and South. This season we have a NEW LOCATION at the Econo Lube N' Tube parking lot on the corner of Paramount and Candlewood. This should give us a better opportunity to sell more fireworks as there are no other firework booths nearby.Make sure to get all of your 4th of July firework needs from the LPW Firework Booth. We will open starting July 1st thru July 4th. Make sure to also tell all your friends and family to come by and support our league. Have a safe and sane 4th of July.
Anyone that volunteered individually to work the firework booth on the same day you signed-up, please click here to view your shiftt.Those that volunteered to work a team shift, please contact your team staff to find out what time you are scheduled to work.

Roster spots still avaiable for: Jr. Mitey Mite, Mitey Mite and Pee Wee divisions. All other divisions are avaiable on a as needed basis. FOOTBALL & CHEER PHYSICALS
We will be conducting Physicals for all Lakewood Pop Warner Football and Cheer participants on Saturday July 18th from 9am - 1pm at Lakewood High School.The cost is only $20 per participant. Per Pop Warner National Rules, every player and cheerleader is required a physical before they are allowed to practice or participate in a game. Please make sure to come on July 18th if you have not received your physical for the upcoming season.
TACKLE FOOTBALL PLAYERS PRESENT
All those signing up for tackle football, returning or new, please make sure to have your child present during sign-ups as their weight needs to be recorded in order to place them in the correct division. If you child's weight is not recorded, they will be placed in the lowest division according to their age. They will risk being placed on the waiting list if the division they wish to play in is full once their official weight is recorded at a later date.Make sure they are present during sign-ups to avoid being placed on the waiting list.
